Beloved Actress Announces a 16 Pound Weight Loss in First Seven Weeks on Jenny Craig*

CARLSBAD, Calif., Jan. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Jenny Craig, Inc, one of the nation's leading authorities on weight management, hosted a press conference today in Los Angeles to announce Phylicia Rashad as the newest Jenny Craig celebrity client and spokesperson. The award-winning actress emphasized the importance of life balance and is looking forward to sharing her journey in hopes of inspiring others.

"For me, this was not about going on a diet; this was about a change for life. Thanks to the personalized program and the support of my consultant, Jenny Craig has tailored a program to fit my life without deprivation," said Rashad. "This whole journey I am taking is about life balance. I want to embrace life. I want to be light on my feet, literally, and I'm excited to be a role model for others who are ready to take the next step."

Following in the footsteps of successful Jenny Craig spokespeople like Valerie Bertinelli and Queen Latifah, Rashad will appear in Jenny Craig's newest advertising campaign that launches on January 26, 2009.

Video submissions will be accepted from February 1 - April 30, 2009 with six grand prize winners being awarded throughout the year.
