New York, NY, August 19, 2010 — Celebra, a division of Penguin Group (USA), recently announced the acquisition of international superstar Ricky Martin’s highly-anticipated memoir, to be published simultaneously in English and Spanish—entitled Me and Yo respectively.  The book will be published in hardcover in the U.S. on Tuesday, November 2nd.  Celebra’s Publisher Ray Garcia acquired world rights for the memoir.

In Me, Martin opens up for the first time about his early childhood, his experiences in the renowned boy band Menudo, the challenges of increased fame that came with the Livin’ La Vida Loca phenomenon, his continued growth as a musician, and his unique personal connection with millions of fans around the world.  Martin also explores life-changing decisions like coming to terms with his sexuality, becoming a father, and devoting himself to helping children around the world.

"Writing this book allowed me to explore the different paths and experiences that have led me to be who I am today. I’ve had to tie up loose ends that I’d never attempted to tie up before, to work deeply into memories that were already erased from my mind. Allowing myself to do this was not easy, but once I started an incredible spiritual healing began..... and I wanted to share my sense of discovery," said Ricky Martin.

Ricky Martin is a GRAMMY and multiple LATIN GRAMMY Award-winning artist who has sold more than 60 million albums worldwide. He is the founder of the Ricky Martin Foundation, a non-profit organization that advocates for children around the world, and is the father to twin boys.
