Destined for success, Tasha Biltmore aka Tasha B overcame countless obstacles to become the woman she is today. Enduring four divorces and struggling to raise her three daughters, Tasha was no stranger to hardships. Yet, she took fate into her own hands and relocated to Hollywood Hills, CA to finally pursue her lifelong dream of becoming an author and screenplay writer.
Hailing from Detroit Michigan to parents Elvin and Evelyn she was taught that family was the most important thing in life. Tasha discovered a love for writing poetry at the age of thirteen and that has always been her outlet to get through challenges in life. Tasha also soon discovered her first husband and she had to put her dreams on hold when she became pregnant with their first child. However, not once did she ever put her pen down. Tasha always knew she would one day return to the one thing that kept the fire burning in her and that is her passion for writing.
One of her greatest feats is self-publishing her first book – Innocent Eyes due to be released on June 25, 2011. This remarkable book of her best poems gives the reader a look into the secret behind Tasha’s eyes. She began with Innocent Eyes at the beginning of her life and through her four divorces she went from Innocent to Angry to Owee! The book is filled with images to portray the poems and the reader is given a unique view into the mind of a poet. The reader goes through a journey from beginning to end. The book comes with a CD where Tasha performs the poems for the readers.
Tasha B is in her prime and is living life to the fullest! She states “After my 4th divorce I am still standing and I feel better than ever. Each of the men in my life have taught me so much and I don’t regret any of them but I also knew that I had to move on from each of them in order to be a good role model for my daughters. If you’re not happy it’s time to move on.”
Tasha has an infectious laugh and personality that can light up any room! She shares her poetry live on stage as part of the” Love Jones” hosted by Joe Jones in Los Angeles California.
Tasha is also venturing off into film. She has written her first screenplay based on one of her poems “The Conversation”. The film is a drama looking at abuse where it’s clear they are all victims in the end.
Tasha B is chasing her dreams to once again prove to her three daughters and four grandchildren and to herself that dreams are possible if you trust in God and believe in yourself.
